NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN REFERENDUM

The Neighbourhood Plan referendum was held on 19th January 2017. There was a 20% turnout and 85% voted YES to the question:

Do you want Mid Sussex District Council to use the neighbourhood plan for Ansty & Staplefield to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?

Examination

On the 28th November 2016 Mid Sussex District Council formally accepted the Recommendations of the Independent Examiner for the Ansty and Staplefield Neighbourhood Plan. This decision enables a Referendum to take place on the Ansty and Staplefield Neighbourhood Plan.

A neighbourhood planning referendum will be held for the Ansty and Staplefield Neighbourhood Development Plan 2014-2031 on Thursday 19th January 2017. The question asked in the referendum will be:

“Do you want Mid Sussex District Council to use the neighbourhood plan for Ansty, Staplefield and Brook Street to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?”

Ansty and Staplefield Neighborhood Plan Examination Report

Mid Sussex District Council has received the Independent Examiner's Report on the Ansty and Staplefield Neighborhood Plan. The report concludes that, subject to modifications, the Plan should proceed to Referendum. The Examiner's report is available to view below:
