Ansty and Staplefield Parish Council is made up of 12 councillors and we currently have a vacancy for a councillor to represent the Ansty Ward. Could this be you? Would you like to make a difference to your community?

The role of councillor is a varied one ranging from discussing planning applications to making decisions about Parish assets. It is a voluntary role and on average, takes 2-3 hours a week for council work. This often includes attending meetings, engaging with residents and speaking on behalf of the council to other bodies. Obviously, there are some councillors who spend more than this – and some less, but in the main, being a parish councillor is an enjoyable way of contributing to your community and helping to make it a better place to live and work. A&SPC meets once a month for full council meetings.
