Over the last two and a half years, West Sussex County Council have collaborated with UKHarvest, a food rescue charity, to host seven Community Food Hubs. These hubs run once a month across every district and borough in West Sussex.

Following the success of the programme, they are pleased to continue our partnership with UKHarvest and have extended the initiative until April 2026. Each hub location will host a Community Food Hub where, for a small voluntary donation, residents can bring their own bags and collect a wide selection of surplus food that would have otherwise gone to waste.

The child-friendly Community Food Hubs are open to all residents and aim to reduce food waste. In addition to food distribution, the hubs provide recipes and host information stands covering various topics, including waste prevention, wellbeing, and Citizens Advice.

The attached leaflet has more details on the locations of the hubs or for more information, please visit their webpage: www.westsussex.gov.uk/UKHarvest
