Emergency Road Closure, Slaugham Road, Staplefield

Temporary closure of Slaugham Road, Ansty and Staplefield CP, 2nd February 2026 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that from the date specified below, West Sussex County Council has temporarily closed to all traffic Slaugham Road, Ansty and Staplefield CP, in the Mid Sussex District under Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, on Slaugham Road for a distance approx 694 metres The emergency temporary closure commenced on 2nd February 2026 for a maximum of 21 days. It is anticipated that works will be completed on 5th February 2026. The road closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while FM Conway working on behalf of West Sussex County Council undertakes Emergency works to replace dangerous storm drainage wall, in order to prevent collapse and flooding. The restriction will be in place 24hrs. An alternative route will be signed on site. Access maintained for emergency services, residents and pedestrians within the closed area.
