Temporary closure of Bolney Road, Ansty and Staplefield CP, 30th October 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that from the date specified below, West Sussex County Council has temporarily closed to all traffic Stairbridge Lane, Ansty and Staplefield CP, in the Mid Sussex District under Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, on Bolney Road for a distance approx 1263 metres from the junction of Stairbridge Lane to the junciton of Pickwell Lane.
The emergency temporary closure commenced on 30th October 2026 for a maximum of 21 days. It is anticipated that works will be completed on 3rd November 2026. The road closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while South East Water undertakes Urgent repairs required to repair a burst water main.
The restriction will be in place 24hrs per day.
An alternative route will be signed on site.
Access maintained for emergency services, residents and pedestrians within the closed area.
