Footpath Request.

Ansty & Staplefield Parish Council have had a request from a resident for some issues to be addressed to enable residents of Rose Cottage Lane to have improved access to the village and public transport.

The first is a bus stop, Haywards Heath bound, nearer the village hall. This request has been forwarded to the highways department at WSCC and is currently being investigated with an assessment taking place this month.

The second is for a footpath running from Rose Cottage Lane to connect with the path by the village hall. This is something that would need to be requested under the Community Highways Scheme and for this, we would need to show that it is supported by the residents.

ASPC are requesting feedback from the residents of Staplefield as to whether they would like to support the request for the footpath to better connect the residents living in this area. Access along this section is quite tricky by foot, even more so when it is dark a there is currently only a grass verge. This in turn makes the winter months even more restrictive for some residents.

We are requesting that all residents please contact the parish council with your thoughts by emailing [email protected]. If you are unable to email, please contact the clerk by calling 07437 703411 and she will arrange an alternative method.

We look forward to hearing from you.
