Letter being sent out to around 130 houses in Staplefield later this week by Southern Water regarding the Wetlands being created at Cuckfield Road, Staplefield, West Sussex RH17 6ES.

Hello,
We’re creating a new wetland at Staplefield
As you know last year, we received planning permission to create a wetland on land to the should of Staplefield village. The new wetland once up and running will help reduce phosphate levels before the water enters the river.
What happens next?
We’re starting work on 3 March where we will begin by setting up our site offices and welfare facilities. We expect this work to take around four weeks to complete following which, in early April will start constructing the wetland.
How will this affect you?
• During this time, we’ll be constructing the access road from field entrance around perimeter of field towards compound (see map)
• We’ll establish and set up the site compound
• Erect site fencing
• Take delivery of welfare cabins and connect up temporary services
• Take delivery of materials and plant which will be used in the creation of the wetland
We expect to have the wetland construction and internal site upgrade work to be completed by September this year. Our working hours will generally be 7.30am – 5.30pm. We do not plan to work weekends but if we had to, we’d let you know beforehand.
